Delta Air Lines announced it will be launching its first-ever nonstop flight service between Los Angeles and the Philippines.
The new route from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila (MNL) is scheduled to begin on March 28, 2027.
The company will initially operate the route three times a week before increasing to daily service on June 7, 2027.
Delta noted they will be the only U.S. carrier to offer nonstop flightd between L.A. and Manila, the capital city of the Philippines.
Passengers on this route will board an Airbus A350-900, which, depending on the cabin configuration, can boast as many as 40 Delta One suites.
The new flight follows a series of long-haul direct routes Delta recently added from LAX, including to Hong Kong, Melbourne, Shanghai, and in the future, Vancouver, Newark, and additional cities in Florida.
“The addition of Manila builds on the world-class travel experience our customers have come to expect from Delta while strengthening our position as LAX’s leading global carrier and premier West Coast hub,” said Jeff Arinder, Delta’s Vice President of Network Planning.
Passengers flying Delta One from LAX to Manila can access two Delta One Lounges, including a newly opened Terminal 2 location.
“Customers traveling through Los Angeles continue to benefit from Delta’s investments in LAX, including an expanding Asia-Pacific network and the opening of our second Delta One Lounge,” Arinder said.
By 2028, the company said it will offer four dedicated lounge spaces at LAX across Terminals 2 and 3.
