Investigators are looking for a suspect in a shooting that led to the death of a 28-year-old man that occurred over the weekend.
According to a Los Angeles Police Department media release, an “assault with a deadly weapon involving shots fired” call came out at approximately 4:30 a.m. Sunday in the 19100 block of Bryant Street in Northridge.
The location provided by police appears to be within a gated apartment community.
Officials said he victim was discovered by responding officers in the rear alley of an apartment building suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
LAPD identified him as 28-year-old Pedro Devora.
Detectives’ preliminary findings indicated a fight involving multiple people occurred shortly before the shooting, but no details surrounding a suspect or suspects was available.
